Basic facts Threading is also called Khite in Arabic and fatlah in Egyptian, it's a less common method in the West for removing hair at the root, used primarily on facial hair. Hair comes out in a line with twists of cotton thread.
Threading involves pulling out a row of hairs from the follicle by twisting the hairs into a cotton thread. The practitioner holds one end of the thread in their teeth and the other end in one of their hands. With their free hand, they grab the middle of the thread to form a loop. The loop traps the unwanted row of hairs and the practitioner pulls the hairs from the skin.
